At Locum Express, we are committed to upholding the highest standards of compliance and patient safety. As part of our registration process, all locum doctors must complete Garda Vetting in accordance with the National Vetting Bureau (Children and Vulnerable Persons) Act 2012. This ensures that any healthcare professional who may come into contact with children or vulnerable adults has been appropriately screened before starting a placement.
All candidates are now required to attend an in-person appointment for identity verification.
This in-person check is a mandatory part of the Garda Vetting procedure and applies to all new and returning locum doctors.
When booking your appointment through our online system, please note that your selected date and time is a request, not a confirmed booking.
Once you click 'Send', your appointment will be marked as pending. This means it is awaiting review by our compliance team.
After your appointment has been reviewed and approved, you will receive an email notification confirming the booking. Until that confirmation is received, your appointment is not officially scheduled.
To avoid delays in your registration, we recommend scheduling your appointment as soon as possible. You’ll be advised on which documents to bring for identity verification once your appointment is confirmed.
If you have any questions about the Garda Vetting process or the updated in-person requirements, please get in touch with our team at Locum Express. We’re here to support you every step of the way.
